"Robert Earl Williamson, a resident of East Ridge, died Saturday afternoon
in a local hospital. He was 76. A lifetime resident of Greater Chattanooga,
Mr. Williamson was retired from Mills and Lupton Supply Co.
"He was a veteran of the World War II Corps of Engineers and was a
member of the Half Century Club.
"Mr. Williamson was a member of Hickory Valley Christian Church, where
he served as elder emeritus and belonged to the Berean Sunday School Class.
"He was the son of the late Earl and Millie Williamson.
"Survidors include his wife, Mary Jo Williamson; three daughters, Mrs.
Austin (Leslie) Passons, Susan Williamson and Annette Williamson, all of Chattanooga;
one son, Peter Williamson of Chattanooga; one sister, Mrs. James (Ruth) Nelson
of Knoxville, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Melissa Passons and Damon Passons,
both of Chattanooga.
"Funeral arrangements will be announced by Chattanooga Funeral Home,
East."
